Confirm the current financial-evidence requirements for your route and study duration with the Spanish Consulate responsible for your legal residence. No single savings figure applies to every applicant.
This suggested budget is separate from program fees and is not a visa eligibility figure. Savings may overlap, but meeting one requirement does not prove you meet the other.
You manage your application. Academic documents, a visa guide and answers to questions are provided. There is no dedicated caseworker managing the whole process; the Spanish authorities decide approval. EU citizens do not need this visa.

Before booking, check your qualification, route, fees and visa financial requirements at your interview. Once accepted and ready, your deposit books your place.

Use your responsible consulate’s current checklist. You manage the visa application; academic documents, a guide and answers to questions are provided.

We confirm your route and fees before you book. Some non-EU routes add observed teaching; the route depends on your qualification and passport.

There are two Madrid programs.
For teachers who already hold a TEFL certificate — an in-person course with observed teaching, or an online Level 5. Placement support, job alerts across 300+ schools, and the visa route for non-EU passports. We assess your certificate and confirm your route and fees before you book.
A 180-hour Level 5 hybrid TEFL — ~65 hours online, then four weeks in Madrid (two part-time, two intensive) for your 6 observed classes — then guaranteed job interviews.

Academies, schools, companies — and your own students.
Private language academies, public schools, universities, community centres and in-company classes — plus private one-to-one tutoring on the side. Classes of 4–12, kindergarteners to business professionals.
20–25 teaching hours, Monday to Friday — most classes run 3pm–9pm, with some Saturday-morning options. 4-day work weeks are common.

US$695 + US$305 = US$1,000. Included above, never on top.
You pay the dollar and euro amounts shown. Exchange rates affect the dollar equivalent. Additional observed-lessons route: US$1,000 + €3,320, subject to confirmation. Flights, housing, insurance, visa fees and living costs are extra.

We assess your certificate and observed teaching before you book. A qualification name alone does not determine your fee.
For an accredited in-person TEFL of at least 120 hours with six observed lessons, subject to assessment. Includes the US$695 + US$305 payments. Euro installments confirmed before booking.
Previously listed for a route adding six observed lessons in Madrid. Current fee, availability and eligibility must be confirmed before you book. Do not assume an online TEFL or CELTA automatically requires this route.
Get your assessed route and full payment schedule before paying. Both amounts include the US$1,000 dollar payments; living costs are separate.
