There are two Vietnam programs.
One week of orientation — the Cu Chi tunnels, cooking class, language classes, a teaching practicum — then straight into your paid placement.
Four weeks total — an orientation week in Vietnam, then the 120-hour in-person course, with real practice teaching, then your paid placement.

Shared or private rooms for the week. Then your placement begins.
Two kinds of school. Your pick.
15–25 teaching hours a week, including evenings and weekends. Small classes — around 15 students. 2–4 weeks paid leave a year.
20–25 hours, Monday to Friday, weekends off. Bigger classes — 40–50 students. Summers off (June–August, unpaid).
You teach English to kids aged 4–18. Top locations: Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi, Binh Duong, Bien Hoa and Hai Phong — about 90% of placements are in the two big cities.

It covers rent and living from landing until your first pay lands. Rent runs $200–$500 a month, and landlords want the first month plus a one-month deposit.

The checklist.
- Aged 21 – 55— 56–59 case by case
- A Bachelor's degree— any subject
- A 120-hour TEFL / TESOL / CELTA— accredited, already in hand
- Citizen of USA, Canada, UK, Ireland, Australia or NZ
- European non-native speakers— C1 English with a short intro video
- Clean background check— minor offences case by case
- Health check— needed for your work permit
- One honest heads-up— Vietnam is strict on some medical and mental-health conditions. If anything applies to you, tell us before you book — we check with the schools for free, before you pay anything
Worth knowing: this program can't take partners or kids, religious dress isn't permitted in schools here, and South African applications are currently paused. Small visible tattoos may be fine — tell us at signup. Pets are possible but honestly discouraged — every cost and complication is yours, and they can limit placement and housing options.
