This route is for people who want Korea without committing to a full year on day one. Try a semester — and extend to a full year if your school agrees.

$1,300–$1,600 a month, free housing, and no year-long commitment to start. Six months is enough to know if Korea is for you — and if it is, it can be extended to a full year if your school agrees.

You start your paid job first. The culture weekend comes within a few months of arriving.

Already certified means already close. Your 120-hour TEFL, TESOL or CELTA (or a B.Ed) is your ticket in — send it with your application.
A hagwon placement. Six months to start.
Small classes of 5–15 kids aged 4–16, English only, you teach alone. Younger learners 9:00–18:00 or older learners 12:00–22:00. 11 paid vacation days.
This route runs at hagwons only — public-school contracts are full-year. It can be extended to 12 months if your school agrees.
40-hour weeks with 25–35 teaching. Placements anywhere in Korea — top areas are around Seoul (Gyeonggi-do), Daegu, Ulsan, Daejeon, Sejong and Gwangju.
The same job. A shorter first step.
Six months now. Twelve if your school agrees.
This is the 6-month version of our best-paying placement — same job, same free housing, without the two rewards that come from staying a full year.
If your school agrees to extend you to a full 12 months, flight reimbursement and the 13th-month bonus can come with it. Extension is the school’s call, so we can’t promise it.
Hagwons hire year-round.
Hagwon placements aren't tied to the school-term calendar — starts run most months of the year. Move your start free with 35+ days’ notice, unless you’ve accepted a placement and then push your date back.
Two payments. Months apart.
Your place is held and the work starts — placement prep and visa guidance.
Invoiced well ahead. Nothing else falls due after this.
$695 + $1,002 = $1,697 — the whole price. The deposit is part of it, never extra on top.

Korea's rules are the strictest we place for.
- Aged 21 – 40— 41 – 49 only with previous teaching experience and a degree in education, case by case, and open to any location, age group and timeline
- A Bachelor's degree— from a university in the USA, Canada, UK, Ireland, Australia, NZ or South Africa
- A native English speaker— with a passport from the USA, Canada, UK, Ireland, Australia or NZ
- A 120-hour TEFL / TESOL / CELTA— accredited and in hand (a B.Ed also counts)
- A clean national-level police check— apostilled, no older than 6 months
- No partners, kids or pets— the E-2 route doesn't allow them
South Africans: we can't place South African passport holders in South Korea right now. Thailand and Mexico are open to you. Small visible tattoos may be fine — tell us at signup. Religious dress isn't usually allowed in schools here.
The E-2, step by step.
Korea checks the most — even for six months.
- The medical rules are strict. Epilepsy, TB, HIV, severe asthma and several other conditions are usually disqualifiers for the E-2. Talk to us before booking if this touches you.
- Six months means six months — on paper. Flight reimbursement and the 13th-month bonus only arrive on a 12-month contract. A 6-month contract can be extended to 12 months if your school agrees.
- It's a real 40-hour week — 25–35 of it teaching, and hagwon shifts can run to 10pm.
- Book about 4 months ahead — 90 days out is the shortest we can do.
- Change of plans? Your date moves free with 35+ days’ notice — inside 35 days a $450 change fee applies. The same $450 applies if you accept a placement and then push back to a later date. All payments for the program are non-refundable.
