We're telling you this early on purpose. If that number isn't realistic right now, you should know today — not after you've paid.
You can't be paid until your licence lands.
It takes two to three months. Most schools let you start teaching while you wait, and some pay up to $500 a month in the meantime, releasing the rest once your licence comes through.
To cover the gap. Separate from the bank-letter money — that stays untouched.

Everybody who teaches in Prague goes through this. It ends.
Where you apply, and how early.
Everyone needs the bank letter. Most non-US applicants also need a police check with an apostille. Nobody can promise you a visa — we can only make sure your paperwork is right.
Budget for this on top of the course.
Plus travel to Dresden — you go twice, to apply and to collect. Every case differs; we'll walk your numbers through on the call.
Most people build a week from two or three of these.

Also common: business English for companies, summer camps and weekend intensives. Mixing them is normal here — it's why the trade licence matters.
