Four weeks of in-person training in Guadalajara, then a guaranteed paid teaching job — anywhere in Mexico.
140 hours of teacher training in Guadalajara — with far more live teaching practice than most TEFL courses.
A paid placement anywhere in Mexico. Most teachers are in their first job within 2 – 4 weeks of finishing.
Visa help, accommodation placement help, airport pickup, mock interviews and a free week of Spanish lessons.
There's nothing to choose between here. Mexico is one combined program — the TEFL course and the guaranteed job placement together, at one price.
TEFL Heaven started when I invited myself on a girl's flight to Bangkok. She said yes — and seventeen years later we've sent more than 3,000 teachers abroad, and it's still a family business.
Mexico is the one people pick for the living, not the saving — mornings and evenings in the classroom, and the whole country in between.
"Over 17 years we've placed more than 3,000 English teachers in classrooms from Bangkok to Buenos Aires." A family business, still run by the person who started it. The course is officially accredited by Mexico's Secretary of Education (SEP).
No degree needed, no upper age limit, and jobs anywhere in Mexico — Mexico City, Guadalajara, Monterrey, Cancun, Merida, Oaxaca and beyond. It's more about lifestyle than savings: you cover all your costs comfortably and top up with private tutoring.
Lesson planning, classroom management, grammar, methodology, teaching kids, online teaching and business English — a communicative approach: doing, recalling, reflecting, practicing.
Real classes at a partner school with 40+ classrooms and 2,000+ students of all ages — far more live teaching practice than most TEFL courses.
Current postings run 16,500 – 18,000 pesos a month — quieter cities start lower, big-city rates climb fastest.
Every course runs four weeks in Guadalajara. Sign up 1 – 2 months ahead — and dates can be moved after you book. The 2026 World Cup (Jun 11 – Jul 19) overlaps the June and July intakes, so book housing early around those dates.
Your place is held and the work starts — course prep, visa guidance and your placement paperwork.
Invoiced well ahead. Nothing else falls due after this.
$695 + $1,450 = $2,145 — the whole price. The deposit is part of it, never extra on top.
And the program can pay you back. $200 every time someone books through your affiliate link — free place on our Digital Marketing Program.
Not included: accommodation during the course (roughly $600), flights, health or travel insurance, long-term accommodation after the course, FM3 visa fees (about $290 – $380), meals, daily transport and fun.
Most people sign up alone. Nobody finishes alone — the group you train with becomes your first circle of friends in the country.
That pays for visa fees, your first month's rent and deposit, food and transport while your placement lands — usually 2 – 4 weeks after the course. All payments for the program are non-refundable — if plans change, we move your start date instead.
We're telling you this early on purpose. If that number isn't realistic right now, you should know today — not after you've paid.
Family and pets can come — but the program doesn't arrange anything for them, so you handle their logistics. Religious dress is generally fine.
Get certified, get a job offer on school letterhead, your employer files with INM, and you collect the visa at a Mexican consulate. Teaching on a tourist visa is technically illegal — we work you toward the FM3 from day one.
We'd rather you knew all of this today than at the airport.
"I loved my experience in the TEFL course! The instructor who taught the course was incredible! I learned so many great things from him and found that my already established teaching style had changed significantly!"
"The job placement program that comes with the TEFL course in Vallarta secured the interview for the job for me, which was extremely helpful as I was able to have a job lined up before I finished the course as a result."
"Our course teacher has over a decade of experience teaching all over the world and his stories and advice were brilliant and helped me feel much more prepared."

You’re going to post about this anyway — this pays you for it.
Plenty of our teachers are still earning from this years after they came home.
From there it’s guided the whole way — visa help, placement prep and your countdown to fly-out.
Start my application →No — a high school diploma is enough. Mexico is one of the few countries where a degree is not required to teach.
$2,145 total: $695 books it, the remaining $1,450 is due 90 days before you fly.
Yes — complete the course and a paid placement is guaranteed. Most start within 2 – 4 weeks of finishing.

Dates can be moved after you book — and with 21 intakes across 2026 and 2027, there's always a next one.
